American manufacturing experiencing a ‘renaissance’


Mary Andringa, CEO of Vermeer Corporation and previous head of the National Association of Manufacturers, says that American manufacturing is booming. In fact, U.S. manufacturers are making more products than ever, and the United States leads the world in manufacturing. Rock Center’s Harry Smith reports.

Vermeer CEO Mary Andringa was recently recognized for her commitment to manufacturing and her role as chair of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  Andringa began her two-year term as chair on January 1, 2011, and has been a very effective spokesperson for the manufacturing industry.
